Why Choose Five Sons Farm Pastured Poultry? 

The Five Sons Farm pastured poultry operation is simple.  Chickens in green fields, under the Alabama sun, choosing what they want to eat.  We use a local hatchery, so there’s no stress from shipping.  The moment the birds are old enough, these farm-raised chickens spend the rest of their lives in the fields.  

We use large, mobile coops to protect them from predators.  They’re rotated a minimum of once per day to fresh grass and supplemented with non-GMO feed, and organic supplements.  That means Five Sons Farm chicken have NO antibiotics, artificial hormones, or steroids.  

Our farm-raised chickens are an important part of the holistic system here at Five Sons Farm.  Rotating them through the fields leaves organic matter and an increased nitrogen level in our soil.  As advocates of regenerative agriculture, those are both things we appreciate.  We’re also partnered with a local processor so that we can be certain our farm-raised pastured chicken reaches our customers as humanely as possible.  All the aforementioned effort means we’ve taken care of the hard part.  As always, we want to send a special, “Thank you” to our customers.  We hope you enjoy your delicious, farm-raised chicken from Five Sons Farm.
